No. The box does the facilitating. One person simply takes the Narrator role and reads what comes next, a bit like passing around the rules of a board game, while participating fully alongside everyone else. The Script guides the timing, activity cards hold the prompts, and expert voice notes step in when needed. Nobody has to prepare, manage the room, or play facilitator.

Between three and sixteen. Teams up to eight are covered by the standard box. For larger teams of nine to sixteen, there is an extension pack with extra cards and a few added instructions, since bigger groups need a little more time and split into smaller groups at certain moments.

We’d rather not print and sell you cards you’ll never use. A team of five shouldn’t pay for or carry materials for sixteen. Keeping the core box compact fits smaller teams, while the Extension Pack lets larger teams scale up only when they need to.

It is designed to fit your calendar. The most flexible format is three 90-minute sessions, which are easy to schedule across a busy quarter and give your team time to reflect between Acts. If you prefer to cover everything in one go, you can run it as a single half-day workshop (around 4 hours, or 5 hours for larger teams of up to 16).

No, open the box and bring pens. Everything else is inside.

The physical box, all the cards, and the script are in English. Because teams talk amongst themselves, they naturally switch to whatever language they usually speak during the exercises. A box belongs to one team and lasts for years. The Script, trigger cards and game components are built to be reused indefinitely. Only the consumable parts a team writes on run out. You can, and for quick check-ins, that often works fine. But building a session from scratch usually means someone spends hours pulling together exercises, only to end up running the room instead of joining in. We spent over a decade refining these formats so you don't have to. You get a battle-tested structure out of the box, allowing everyone, including you, to participate as equals.

Yes. A retrospective usually looks at what went well and what didn't. Curated goes wider and deeper: the team sets aside real time, everyone takes part, and the design carries the conversation somewhere a normal meeting rarely reaches. It is made to do something together, on purpose, not to tick a box.

No. Curated is strictly an in-person, screen-free experience on purpose. Deep, honest alignment happens best when everyone is around the same table. When your team actually gets together, this helps you make the most of that physical time.

You’ll have safety nets at every step: In the box: "In case of…" cards handle tricky moments or side-tracks, and each Act includes its own Q&A guide. Online & Audio: Every workshop comes with a dedicated online FAQ page and quick audio voice notes to guide key moments. 1-on-1 Prep: Every box includes a free 30-minute preparation call with Robert or Margriet. Most importantly, the box is designed to be flexible.
